Public Safety Power Shutoff Watch

PG&E has issued a Public Safety Power Shutoff Watch for portions of San Luis Obispo County that could potentially affect around 8,700 customers. This area includes parts of many communities parts of Cambria, Atascadero, Cal Valley, rural Santa Margarita, Morro Bay and other areas.

The PSPS is projected to start on Thursday 10/15/2026 with power going off between 2:30 am and 12 noon. Power restoration is estimated to be by Saturday October 17th at 8:00 pm.

A Watch is issued when outages are likely but it is not a guarantee the PSPS will occur. Visit PG&E's PSPS page for information about PSPS outages.

You can view the PG&E outage map for more details.

PG&E also directly communicates with affected residents.
