A Local Assistance Center (LAC) or Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) is a one stop shop that provides assistance and services following a large disaster.

Services include assistance such as:

Replacing documentation such as driver’s licenses and social security cards
Information about homeowner’s insurance
Community and social services
U.S Small Business Administration loans
Information on rebuilding, permits and property taxes
